Webmasters can easily add a calendar channel to their websites by following these simple steps

Step 1: Get your website code

Log into Google Calendar and click "My calendars" on the left side menu bar. Click "New" and select Web Address. You'll see a pop-up window asking you to copy two codes inside the brackets - iCal feed URL and JavaScript code. Select them both and copy them. These codes will be used to integrate Google Calendars with your website.

Step 2: Log into your website's cPanel

Log into your hosting account and open cPanel. Once there, go to "File Manager". This determines the directory of your website - usually public_html. Select it and click "Go" in the top right corner of cPanel's page. You'll be taken to the File Manager homepage where you can upload files from your computer system.

Step 3: Create a new file named 'googlecalendar'

In the Public_html folder, create events with a new file for Google Calendars by selecting New File in File Manager's site tools menu bar at the top left side of the screen. Name this file with an 'index' extension (i.e., googlecalendar.html)

Step 4: Edit the file you just named 'googlecalendar'

In this file, paste the JavaScript code from Google Calendars. In the File Manager programs menu bar at the top left side of the screen, select More Actions and click "Code Editor". Paste the iCal feed code snippet in between <head> </head>. Paste the javascript code in between <body></body>. Save your work by clicking File > save (for cPanel). Then set permissions for this file by choosing More Actions > "CHMOD" > 777 (recursively changed directory/file). You can leave everything else to default settings. Test it out by entering your website's URL with your custom filename - googlecalendar.html. Ensure that it opens a new window.

Step 5: Copy and paste the iCal Feed from Google Calendars to your website's feed directory

In cPanel, go to "File Manager" > Site Tools > Files and folders > New file. In this case, name the file as feed. Then, follow the same steps as above by going to More Actions > CHMOD 777 (recursively changed directory/file). Keep everything else set to default values. Save each time you make a change in the File Manager programs' menu bar at the top left side of the screen.
