Since 2004 there has been an overwhelming amount of data about human history. Without database access and searchability, analysis is complex without data collection. I know this is an exciting time. We know we have more data tools to understand the data we are collecting. We need guardians to take care of everything that is on the shelves. Some database administrators are known as Database managers. It's the admin for the databases. The Gatekeeper & the keeper of the books. This fundamental innovation is mainly based on data analysis.

Courses may include

This entry-level class is designed to give international students a fundamental knowledge of database administration.

The focus of the course is on giving you a thorough understanding of database management principles, their application in a supportive business environment, and how they can be used to meet the needs of an organization. Upon completing this course, you will be able to use your skills and knowledge to design, configure, and administer databases for business operating systems. In addition, you will understand the requirements for managing and administering Oracle Database systems.

1) Algorithms- To find patterns in data, you need to understand algorithms. An algorithm is a procedure for solving a problem in a finite number of steps.

2) Database Administration- A database administrator (DBA) is responsible for the database's performance, integrity, and security.

3) Data Modeling- The process of creating a model of the data that will be stored in a database is called data modelling. This model is then used to create the tables and relationships used by the database.

4) Oracle DBMS- Oracle Database Management Systems (DBMSs) are software products that enable users to store, access, and analyze data stored in their organization's computers.

5) Microsoft SQL Server Programming (MS SQL server) - A computer programming language used to provide structure and support for controlling access to the data stored in an Oracle Database.

6) Performance Tuning- You can influence how efficiently your system uses its resources, including memory, disk storage, and CPU usage. Also known as performance analysis.

7) Backup and Recovery- Data backup is a process of copying information from the source storage media onto another storage device or media (e.g., tapes). The information preserved on these devices is used after disasters occur that may otherwise result in data loss.

8) Security- Access control methodologies include authentication, authorization, confidentiality, integrity, non-repudiation, and data secrecy.

9) Data Warehousing- A data warehouse collects data extracted from transactional systems in an organization. The transactional systems may include existing databases or other operational data sources, such as order entry systems or point-of-sale (POS) terminals.

For data scientists

We know that the future is in your hands. Geolance is here to help you understand and analyze all our collected data. With our database access and searchability, the analysis will be easy for everyone! So let us take care of it so you can focus on what matters most to you.

You'll never have to worry about not having enough information again with our new platform that allows users to easily explore their data or other datasets from around the world. Our team has worked hard to create this product just for you! All we need now is your sign-up today!

This course covers the following topics that are relevant to DBAs

• How file structures related to indexes work

• What are your views?

• How indexes can improve performance on queries

• What are triggers?

• What are functions used for?

• How to Implement row-level security

• How to implement authentication and authorization

• How to handle recursive queries

• What is the difference between a table and a view?

• How can you query data from several tables at once?

1) Querying Data- To select data from a database, you need to know how to formulate and execute SQL server management studio queries.

2) Database Concepts- A relational database management system (RDBMS) allows users to store, access, and analyze data via self-managing structures called relational databases. You will learn about important concepts such as entities, attributes, tuples, domains, relation schemes, and views. You will also study the basic operations of an RDBMS: data insertion, deletion, and modification.

3) Relational Model- Relational model introduces the concepts of entities, relations, attributes, and tuples to represent data. Each entity represents a type of object that can be described by its attributes. For example, an entity set is a collection of similar objects such as employees, customers, etc., whereas an attribute describes an individual object such as name or social security number.

4) Sorting Data- You will learn how to sort the data in the tables based on specific fields or predefined orders using the ORDER BY clause. You will also study how to use aggregate functions and group data within the SELECT statement.

5) Subqueries- A subquery is essentially a query embedded in another one so that the results of the inner query are used as the source for the outer query. MySQL supports two types of subqueries: INNER and OUTER.

6) Joining Tables- A join is a process that combines data from two or more tables into a single result set. The result is produced by matching the columns in the tables that have the same name and data type. MySQL supports three types of joins: inner, left outer, and right outer.

7) Advanced Queries- In this chapter, you will learn about some of the more advanced features of SQL such as correlated subqueries, union ALL, self-join, and subquery factoring.

8) Functions- Functions are routines that accept one or more input values and return a single value. Functions can be used to manipulate text strings, perform mathematical calculations, or retrieve system information. MySQL 5 supports the following function categories: date/time, string processing, numeric, aggregation (grouping), type conversion, conditional expressions, and special.

9) Views- A view is an abstract representation of data stored in one or more tables. It appears to the users like a table with rows and columns even though it doesn't contain any data itself. The view's data is derived from one or more other tables called base tables. The base table may be huge, making it difficult for users to access directly since they are only interested in specific subsets of its records.
