Google Photos offers a great selection of free photos. Here are all of the details about Google Photo Storage. Internet users do not have problems with software for storing and accessing photo files on any computer. It includes Dropbox, OneDrive, Amazon Photos, and iCloud. Google Photos has grown rapidly since its release in 2015. But the recent Google Photos report has not looked as promising. Until today, the company offers a completely unfettered backup of the pictures taken (and the video) that are taken without cost even if the images are a bit less than 16M pixels.

Visual representation: Google Photos

The 500MB limit on free accounts will be removed to provide unlimited storage for photos and videos. However, the number of features is significantly less than what other services such as Amazon Photos offer (keeps long-term quality, automatic synchronization).

It's no secret that Google has had an eye out there recently. The quest recently started with its first water brand called We Wear Culture / developers claims that the company is testing the name "Google X" or simply "GX" for the upcoming Pixel 3 smartphone. Now it seems that Google is also looking to trademark "Duplex."

While it's not clear what Google X means, we know that "Duplex" refers to a new feature in Android P . The name came from an endpoint discovered by the developer and among other things allows users of the Google Assistant and Google Home speakers of AI to book tables or carry out appointments directly without human intervention.

This is pretty cool - but I think there won't be any bells and whistles in this regard when they apply. If you want to do this kind of crazy stuff, you need to add some more bells and whistles on top of it! For example, callouts can be added on top of the appointments to promote new products, etc.

The Reddit user who found Google's trademark for "Duplex" was able to find some interesting, but not unexpected information about the feature that will go into Android P later this year. Duplex is a new calling function that allows Assistant and Home speakers to make automatic calls on behalf of the user. It seems that it will work similarly to Google Hangouts calls when accessing contacts by adding an end number or name, but at the moment there are no other details available about how it works.

Google has now officially filed three trademarks with USPTO under numbers 87737523, 87771619, and 87771620. These numbers refer to the "Duplex" name, while 87736320 refers to "Google X," which is a little more difficult to connect. There's nothing much else we can find from the trademark, except that it refers to an application for smartphones and computers.

Google has been looking into Duplex for some time. In June of this year, The Information reported that Google would be testing the feature in select cities. At the moment it seems like this will be limited because Google wants to handle everything manually at first so people working on Duplex understand how natural interactions work.

Boosting your website in Google and Bing

Image search can have a big impact on traffic to your site. When someone is searching the web for something in Google or Bing, they are likely looking for images that go along with their search terms. These images are often linked to stories that people have written about those topics so being able to get yours ranked well can bring targeted users to your site. Here are some tips you should consider when it comes to boosting your image rankings in Google and Bing so you can get more traffic, generate more clicks and increase conversions.

Google Image Searches - As far as image searches go, finding quality images that fit into what you're writing about is usually very easy especially if you use Google's advanced operators which help narrow down your results by size, color, typeface, type of image, orientation and more. If you follow some of the tips below though, you can make sure that your images are ranking higher than all the others which should lead to more clicks on your content.

Bing Image Searches - Bing allows users to search by color but it also gives them the option of searching for related keywords like Google does with their advanced operators. As far as website promotion goes, there is one major difference between how Google and Bing handle image results that you need to be aware of before publishing any content that links to external sources. More on this later...

Tips for Boosting Your Image Rankings in Google & Bing

1) Always use high-quality photos - This might seem like a no-brainer but some people neglect this when in fact it's the most important thing you can do to make sure your images are ranking higher than all the rest. A photo that is fuzzy or blurred with no contrast will not only make people click on another result but Google might rank them lower because of their poor quality which means fewer clicks for your page.

2) Choose specific keywords - When uploading your image to a site like Flickr, be sure to add some relevant keywords so they show up for people who search Google and Bing using those words. If you have a blog post about cats, adding "cute cats" as a keyword would be a good tactic since someone looking at their phone while walking downtown might see that term and click through from his or her browser to read your post. If you write about "SEO," adding words like that, SEO, search engine optimization, and internet marketing to a photo could increase the chances of it showing up when other people search for those terms.

3) Add names & descriptions - In addition to keywords, make sure you add proper names and descriptions to your images. As I mentioned earlier in this article, Bing does not rank images from sites like Flickr as well as Google does since they lack context. Naming your files something relevant and including a description, after the keyword phrase separated by a comma or semicolon makes it easier for both engines to return them in image search results which should lead to more traffic through clicks on your site.) Link all images used in a post back to your site - If you write a blog post about a new TV show, don't just add an image from the show and leave the link in the file name. Make sure it links back to your site so people can read all your content without leaving your page.)

4) Optimize images for mobile users - In this day and age, more searches are being done on mobile devices than ever before with many coming from smartphones. To make sure these searches load quickly, optimize them by compressing them as much as possible with tools like tinypng.com which will reduce their size without affecting quality.)

5) Localize keyword phrases - If you want certain images to come up when someone is searching Google or Bing from a place where your business is located, add something like "Houston" or "New York" to the keywords. This makes it more likely that related images will appear when people search for specific places and can be a great way to drive some targeted traffic through your website.)

6) Do not always use the same images - By now you should know how important it is to have unique content on your site which means avoiding certain tactics like uploading the same photo every time someone searches for something relevant to one of your posts. If you do this, you will find yourself in a situation where Google might lower the ranking of that image because they think all those links are coming from spam sites.)

7) Use real text instead of heading tags - Some webmasters make the mistake of using heading tags like <H1> and bolding or italicizing text to make it stand out. The problem with this is that Google might not rank those images as high as ones without these design elements because they do not appear natural.)

8) Avoid resizing images - If you are using WordPress, avoid using the "medium" size for your images unless they need to be smaller than their original size. This changes the aspect ratio which, again, could lead to them being ranked lower by some search engines.)

9) Promote on social networks - You should always promote your visual content across all your social profiles whenever you publish something new since doing so can help boost traffic through these links. As I mentioned earlier in this article, social media can be a great way to drive traffic through your site and increase the overall visibility of certain images.)

10) Make sure your site is fast - You should always make it a point to add speed optimization to all your posts since Google might not rank them as high if they take too long to load. If you already run an online business, chances are people might leave your page because it takes too long for everything to load so this should be a priority going forward.)

11) Set up user profiles - If you want search engines to index more images from Flickr or 500px, create separate profiles with unique names so links back to those photos will come from different places. This makes it harder for web crawlers like Google to identify where all those images are located.)

12) Create categories - If you have a popular blog, chances are people will start looking for your posts by using various keywords. To make sure these terms lead them to the right place, set up specific categories with custom names so people can easily find what they are looking for.

13) Use image sitemaps - Like with regular posts, webmasters should create an XML file that lists all their images which search engines can use to crawl them faster. This means more exposure and traffic through clicks on certain links which is why this tactic should be used whenever possible.)

14) Use proper tags/keywords - Always add the most relevant tags when publishing something new because doing so makes it easier for search engines to rank them higher. Since there are different ways to do so across popular social media platforms, it is important to understand how they work and the best way to tag photos you want to be indexed by Google.)

15) Pick unique image names - One of the most common mistakes webmasters make when uploading images is naming them "untitled" or something similar which, according to some experts, will result in Google not indexing them because of their lack of relevance. Make sure all images have a title that makes sense since doing so can be key when picking out specific terms for your posts!)

16) Do not include SEO text in descriptions - There was once a time when inserting certain phrases into the image description could boost traffic through certain keywords. This feature is no longer available as it can be considered spammy and could lower your site's overall visibility because webmasters are expected to not abuse the system.)

17) Use slow-loading thumbnails - If you have ever looked at a blog post with multiple images, there is a good chance that some of them were hosted on Facebook or Pinterest which load very slowly. This means people might miss out on those pictures if they do not wait for all of them to appear so consider using alternative hosting sites whenever possible.)

18) Look at competitors' most shared content - As I mentioned earlier in this article, social media proved to be one of the most effective ways to promote visual content back when Google first rolled out its image search option. One of the best ways to determine what your competitors are doing is by using Topsy which lets you see which images get shared the most, giving you a good idea of what to do next.)

19) Add photos directly from Facebook or Twitter - Whenever possible, webmasters should try and add photos and videos from popular social media platforms like Twitter and Facebook which will automatically embed them in their posts so they can be indexed more easily. This means they will always be available on search engines even if the hosting site goes down for some reason.)

20) Link out to relevant posts - If you run an online business that publishes new posts daily (or multiple times per day), linking out to older posts can help bring traffic back through internal links. Just make sure you link out to other pages on your site and not some random blog so it does not look like spam.)

21) Link out to Pinterest - Many webmasters do not know there is a way to add the "Pin it" button which makes sharing photos possible through pinboards. Whenever possible, try adding this widget as it can be one of the best ways for people to see certain images and show them around on their accounts.)

22) Optimize titles - Since Google only shows a part of any image (usually the first 100 pixels), using relevant keywords in titles is especially important since this is one place where they will be seen. Make sure you spend time crafting perfect titles that include all of those terms and more to get the most out of your images!)

23) Create a custom caption for each photo - Another way to effectively use image SEO is by creating a unique caption for every post. This feature has been available on Twitter since 2009 and it is one way to make sure people click through to read more even if they do not know much about what you are trying to sell.)

24) Use text-based images from time to time - If you have ever looked at BuzzFeed's website, there is a good chance you saw some article that came with an image that was part of the content instead of being used as a banner or thumbnail. Doing this can be one way to stand out but remember that Google does not always index text-based photos so use this feature sparingly.)

25) Add a location to your images - If you run a travel or real estate blog, adding a specific location could be helpful when it comes to image search because people tend to add these keywords in their searches. Just make sure you do not go overboard with this option since it can easily ruin your SEO efforts.)

26) Always link back if possible - The best way for content creators and digital marketers to get traffic from Google Images is by linking out to high-quality websites that sometimes share the same pictures. This means you should try and credit blogs where appropriate even if they do not link back since it will give them credit for having good photos of any topic.)

27) Create an additional Pinterest account - If you already run a company account on Pinterest, adding users can help make it easier for people to find your photos. You should use this extra account to pin content that is popular on your other channels like Twitter and Facebook so those photos can be indexed as well.)

28) Optimize file names - Before sharing any photo or video online, marketers need to create unique titles which include all of their target keywords. This will not only help with image search but also with text-based search as well so remember to spend some time crafting these titles!

29) Share images from mobile - As Google has mentioned before, more and more searches are being completed through mobile devices. Whenever possible, webmasters should try and share as many photos as possible from a mobile device because this will give them a better chance to be indexed and appear in image search.)

30) Try Google+ Communities - Looking for niche-specific images that include your keywords? You can always try using Google+ Communities which can help you find posts that may not have been popular enough for traditional search engines. Just remember that the majority of these communities are private so you might have to request membership from time to time!)

31) Use the "suggest an edit" link - If you ever notice a mistake or typo on any Google Image, there is a way for editors to suggest edits directly through the picture itself. This means people who see incorrect titles or links can contact Google employees who can make sure those photos are as optimized as possible.

32) Use Google Images with caution - Even though there is a lot of great data available, marketers should always be careful when using these images because they cannot control what other people do to their pictures. This means you will not want to rely on Google Images for every single one of your social media promotions and contests unless you have some way to track all uses.)

33) Look through the "visually similar" suggestions - As soon as you click on any picture from the search engine results page, look below it for "visually similar" recommendations which can help marketers find new ideas for future content even if those results may not show up in traditional text-based searches!

34) Try adding images to Google+ posts - If you are using Google+, there is an option to upload photos directly into your status updates which can help them get indexed faster than before. Even if people do not click on this picture, it will still show up in image search just like any other link on the internet.

35) Avoid violating copyright - It may seem tempting to "borrow" images from other sites or use pictures without worrying about licensing agreements but you could be missing out on some great SEO opportunities if Google decides to penalize you! Not only can they take their pictures away entirely but they might also block all of your content even with original material.)

36) Use title attributes - When using HTML code, marketers need to make sure that each photo has unique titles which include their target keywords. While this is helpful for regular text-based search results, it can also help with image search if the entire title tag shows up on the screen.)

37) Avoid using too many outbound links - Even though you want to share your photos with as many people as possible, webmasters should try and avoid linking back to other sites since it takes away from your main keyword focus. Google does not like content that is full of long-tail keywords and images are no exception to this rule!)

38) Keep track of community uploads - Some photo-sharing communities allow users to upload pictures directly within the platform itself so you could miss out on some great opportunities if your account is set up incorrectly! You do not want to end up with a bunch of great pictures that cannot be found online.

39) Tell Google Images when you upload - Whenever you are adding your images, make sure to use the "Tell Google" option which will send search engines all of your picture's information in one simple step.)

40) Do not rely on full-text links - While it is true that marketers can include links in their photos using traditional HTML coding, it is important to remember that Google does not like content made up of long-tail keywords and this technique could work against you more than ever before.)

41) Add photo maps of where pictures were taken - If the majority of your target audience lives near a city or location, marketers should try and add a "photo map" to their pictures so users can quickly find info about the location or event they want to know more about!)

42) Use photo circles - Similar to geo-tags, this strategy involves marketers adding outlines of circles around pictures which increase search engine exposure and provides clickable links.)

43) Participate in contests at image-sharing sites - These types of contests are great for attracting attention toward your brand even if you do not win first place! Some people enjoy entering these events because it gives them an excuse to take new photos while others are happy with just knowing that other people are looking at their work.)

44) Join groups on social media sites - Many brands also create company-related profiles on Facebook, Twitter, and Google+ which allow them to connect with both customers and potential fans of their brand! You can then share your photos on these pages for all the world to see.

45) Don't be afraid to get negative feedback - There are various sites online where marketers can post pictures publicly like Flickr, Instagram, Pinterest, Tumblr, etc. If you want some honest feedback about your work or ideas, this is one of the best ways to get it.)

46) Resize your images beforehand - While marketing images do not have to be as large as those used by traditional photographers, webmasters should still minimize image sizes before uploading them to make sure that they load as quickly as possible.)

47) Avoid cropping too close to the subject - Marketers who want to make their images as aesthetically pleasing as possible should not crop too close to the picture's focal point. This way it gives users some breathing room and more people will be willing to share your photos.)

48) Optimize image titles - It might seem easy just to write down the name of the photo that you are uploading, but this does not take into account any keywords that your target audience is searching for! Be sure to include both original copies along with long-tail phrases so everyone can find their way back to your page or website.)

49) Add social sharing buttons directly onto photos - Many social media sites have recently started adding widgets that allow site owners to include various buttons on their pages. You can place them on your website or blog, on profile pages, and more!)

50) Add keywords to photo descriptions - While many social media sites already pre-populate the description of both your profile picture and individual photos with relevant keywords, marketers must add their original mentions just in case users miss them. This task can be completed easily enough by placing a few words related to each image beneath the actual photo itself.)
