Kids Yoga

Kids yoga is a fun and healthy activity that can help improve your child's flexibility, strength, and concentration. There are much different yoga poses that kids can try, and they can even make up their poses! To get started, all you need is a mat or towel and some comfortable clothes.

Here are a few tips to help your child get the most out of kids' yoga:

Encourage them to focus on their breath. Inhale and exhale slowly and deeply through the nose. Remind them to move slowly and deliberately in each pose. Help them find a balance between effort and ease in each pose. It shouldn't be too easy or too hard - just right!

Encourage them to use their imagination. Kids yoga is a great opportunity for your child to use their creativity! Help them to come up with fun names for their poses, and encourage them to make up their poses.

Make it a game. Kids love games! Use kid's yoga as an opportunity to play some fun games with your child. Try Simon Says Yoga, where you take turns leading each other in different yoga poses. Or try a treasure hunt, hiding objects around the room for your child to find in each pose.

Finally, have fun! This is supposed to be enjoyable for both of you, so don't take it too seriously. If your child doesn't want to do a certain pose or game, that's perfectly okay - just let them know that it's okay to skip it and move on to something else. The most important thing is that you're both having fun!
