I recently completed my Master of Science at the University of Toronto. Being a project lead, for different research projects over the past 5 years, has enhanced my skills of performing comprehensive literature reviews and critically evaluating medical content. I have developed a range high quality written deliverables such as published abstracts, slide decks, posters, study protocols for research ethics boards, and clinical standard operating procedures for diverse audiences. I also presented my research findings in four large conferences (e.g., Canadian Nutrition Society) which hosted students and professionals from industry and academia. The iterative peer review process, during my abstract publication and poster presentations, informed my skill of presenting complex medical content in the form of an organized narrative to ensure the target audience is engaged and appreciates the relevance of the information presented. I served as an instructor for the past 6 years for students of different ages and backgrounds. As an anatomy and physiology instructor for paramedic students and a teaching assistant at the University of Toronto, I delivered over 20 lecture materials and fact-checked 250+ reports under tight deadlines. I implemented personalized approaches to ensure my solutions are tailored to the individuals’ needs and learning style. Furthermore, volunteering with Toronto Public Health as a nutrition consultant taught me to build relationships with marginalized immigrants and collaborate with a team to develop budget-friendly and ethnic-conscious meal plans. My passion for learning about novel medical developments and ability to perform in deadline-driven team environments makes me confident to pursue this role.
