Harsh Deep Kaur Toronto, ON August 17th, 2021 Hiring Manager Geolance Toronto Dear Hiring Manager, I am writing to express my interest for the position Helpdesk Technician at Geolance. I came across this position through the website of LinkedIn. My work experience comprises of working as an Application /Desktop Support Technician in a law firm, where I was responsible for providing technical support to end users across all the offices of the company through phone, email and in person under the established SLA’s and in a team environment. I have 4 years of experience providing support with all kind of requests related to computing applications, Mobile devices – MDM/Airwatch (iPhone, Blackberry, Android, iPad), Hardware (Printers, Mitel Phones, Windows desktop, Dell laptops, Surfaces & MAC interface). I have also supported requests related to MS Office 365 Suite, Windows environment (7, 8 &10), Active directory, Email/Mailbox, SCCM, TeamViewer, Remote issues (Citrix, VPN & Global Protect), SharePoint, InTapp, Salesforce, and other software application problems. Apart from this, I have imaged desktop and loaner laptops as well as backed up end user’s data through PowerShell scripting on the server before deploying it to the end users. I have also created and escalated tickets/requests in footprints, followed up with end users and admins to provide/request updates as well as resolved all kind of other issues including the ones marked with high priority from other offices in incident management. Furthermore, I have documented processes, created schedules (worked on call) ensuring on call service is provided, Moreover, I managed the licensing of the applications, permissions and the inventory of the equipment’s owned by the department, worked with third party services in terms of various requests and projects including the software rollouts, performed root cause analysis on issues, provided help with the configuration, installation and upgrade of hardware and managed security system with antivirus and other software’s approved by the firm on all the machines. Creation of knowledge articles and documenting the feedback was another role played by me. I am a graduate of Electronics Engineering Technician program from Seneca College specializing in Computers and I am currently enrolled in Ryerson University for Computer Programming Applications. During my studies in college, I have worked on various projects involving hardware, software, programming, networking etc. Along with my studies and experience, I have strong analytical, problem solving and trouble shooting skills. I am continually working to expand my knowledge on the programming languages. I also have excellent communication and customer service skills along with 4 years of technical experience that is required for this position.
