Santiago A. - 15424 Teleplay Writer - Screenwriter from Zapopan

Hi, my name is Santiago Aguirre, I'm a Mexican screenwriter/videographer. I've been a long time struggling to find a way into the film industry, but I will keep going trying to find a way to do what I love for a living, telling stories. I have filmmaking studies and recently finished a Master's degree on screenwriting in Spain, there I learned a lot about the Spanish film industry. Also, I wrote a film script 5 years ago, the original idea was to produce it as a very low budget film and gather a friend's crew and film it. But before we jump into action, we shot a small teaser with no money to see what we can be able to do If we tried to make the full movie. After shooting the teaser I decided to take the production to the next level and I went to pitch the Project at film markets such as Guadalajara Film Festival, Berlinale 2020 and Filmmarket HUB CDMX 2019 Pitchbox (we won a small price: https://variety.com/2019/film/festivals/together-lala-win-first-filmarket-hub-cdmx-pitchbox-1203420828/) . Since then, some producers reached us, and what once looked like impossible, became real. Right now the film is 70% financed, we are working with Mexican producer Mónica Lozano (Amores Perros, etc) and her company Alebrije Producciones (http://alebrijeproducciones.com.mx/), we hope to shoot next year. Also, I have never stopped writing, I have 6 full length scripts and 4 TV Series scripts. Recently this year, I sent some of my Tv show Ideas to Punta Fina Contenidos (https://www.puntafinacontenidos.com/) and they hire me to develop one of my ideas with them. I tell you this, because I want to show you that I really love telling stories, no matter how hard this journey has been, I will never stop on the search for my dream job.
