About

My experience in varied fields enabled me to learn numerous biochemistry and molecular biology techniques. Among the techniques that I have acquired include western blotting, qPCR, ELISAs, column chromatography, maintenance, operation of a Luminex multiplex platform, analyzing mass spectrometry results, enzyme activity assays, bioinformatics, and more. As a lecturer and lab demonstrator, I have planned experiments and demonstrated them to a group of 25+ students. I have mentored two summer students to complete the execution of projects that include project designing, explaining/ performing initial experiments, observing them while performing lab work, and troubleshooting as and when required (publications under process). As a senior technical assistant, I managed chemical inventory tracking for the timely delivery of lab supplies. I also maintained the high throughput lab operations, draft technical bulletins, and updated training programs to ensure smooth lab processes. In addition to this, I have gained valuable experience by assisting my supervisor in performing literature research to design research programs for new undergraduate and graduate students and demonstrated/ introduced lab techniques. I have authored/co-authored 11 peer-reviewed papers in biochemistry, molecular biology, and enzymology over the past 3 years (7 as the first author). Writing these articles has developed my skills in analyzing complex scientific data and arriving at evidence-based conclusions from experiments. As a mentor, I have explained ways of data analysis for their results and troubleshooting. I aspire to be a part of a company that challenges me to go above and beyond the traditional methodology yet, provides me the flexibility to implement the theoretical knowledge for practical outcomes. Being a part of company would present an opportunity to work with scientific professionals in diverse Biochemistry fields that would enable growth and upgrade my skills. Learning more about the company highlights its employee-friendly working environment, positive team spirit, and best minds at work. Therefore, being a part of your company would provide not only professional but overall development. I believe that my qualifications, training, skills, and educational pursuits will meet your expectations. My role as a Senior technical assistant and research assistant benefited me by improvising my leadership and interpersonal skills. Active participation in management meetings strengthened my soft skills and groomed a systematic approach, analytical thinking, and forecasting potential challenges. My experience working as a team leader in most university projects helped me to challenge the status quo and present the scope of improvement by generating out of the box ideas by brainstorming, setting up goals, prioritizing ideas concerning goals, allocation of duties according to skill sets, perfecting my pitch, and keeping calm even at failures. Implementation of the plan of action at the grass-root level improved my leadership and stress management skills. I dream of redefining research and would welcome the opportunity to tackle the toughest challenge the industry is facing today. I truly hope to get a chance to discuss my ideas that could contribute to the success of company.
