Alexea J. - 13234 Copywriter from Toronto

I have recently completed the Professional Writing and Communications Graduate Certificate Program at Humber College. I believe that the skills and expertise I accumulated through both my education and work experience would make me a valuable team member. I previously attended Queen’s University where I completed a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) with a major in Philosophy. During my undergraduate studies, I was selected to participate in the thesis course Philosophy in the Community, where I volunteered in a retirement community and developed a thesis paper under the supervision of my Professor, Dr. Christine Sypnowich. My thesis discussed the phenomenology of ageing and referenced themes of morality, personal identity, and existential thought. At Queen’s, I took electives in creative writing, screenwriting, chemistry, and law. I was also an active member of the Queen’s affiliated social and political journal, Inquire Publication, where I was a regular contributor and marketing team member for over 2 years. In addition to my academic background, I spent my summer semesters working with the Summer Internship program at Equifax Canada where I received a wide range of skills and professional training. During my most recent 4-month placement at Equifax Canada as a Marketing Summer Student, I worked with an external translation service to audit and compare the French and English versions of our client-facing websites. In addition, I created infographics to be used for training other Equifax departments and revised the work of my colleagues. In this role, I gained the opportunity to advance my problem-solving skills and stretch my existing knowledge to create solutions and meet project deadlines efficiently and effectively. Prior to working as a Marketing Summer Student at Equifax Canada, I worked as a Junior Analyst in Equifax’s IT department, as well as, in many administration and customer service roles. This includes my current role as administration support at ONE fertility and my previous employment at Chapter’s as a sales associate and as a cashier at Tim Hortons. Furthermore, I have volunteered at numerous organizations including at a veterinary clinic and served as volunteer coordinator for community dinners at Wellington United Church. Most notably, I spent a week in Nicaragua volunteering with MedLife, aiding at mobile health clinics in remote areas. As highlighted in my resume, I am an ambitious person who exemplifies exceptional writing skills and has excellent knowledge of editing, verbal communications, and problem-solving. Moreover, I am proficient with relevant tools and technologies such as design tools, Canva, Microsoft Excel and Social Media Platforms, including TikTok, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. While
