I am applying for the role of Script and Dialogue Writer, as I am passionate about scriptwriting, reading, editing and publishing, having studied an MA in Scriptwriting. I studied a Bachelor Degree in English and Creative Writing, and during my Masters in Creative Writing: Scriptwriting I wrote and edited film scripts, plays and radio drama, so I would be able to use my creative skills as an Assistant Editor. During my degree, I also wrote two short films which were produced by a London Drama School. I have had experience working for a travel magazine as a Projects and Information Assistant, where I have written copy for the magazine, edited, written travel segments, liaised with readers and travel contacts, managed bookings and phone calls, acted as a PA to the Manager, organised the Editorial Inbox, assisted with the Group Travel Awards and the Go Travel Show, and took winning readers on trips. I also have used Adobe InDesign and helped digitally create pages in the magazine, including blogging my trips. During my current role as an Admissions Advisor for Universities, I work extremely hard to complete deadlines, prioritise tasks and I am able to multitask effectively. I have been in charge of a section of applications, answering queries, assessing students’ applications, problem solving and offering alternative solutions, using Salesforce, organising presentations, liaising with agents and University centre contacts, and sending offers to students. I have had festival experience as I worked as a Festival Director for the Headspin Creative Learning festival specialising in short films displaying acting, dancing and music, which I also promoted on social media. I have also taken part in the Fly Playwriting project, where I guided disadvantaged children to write a play, which was then performed. I am willing to learn and always develop good working relationships with all of my colleagues, agents and customers alike. I have been praised on my teamwork and I have experience in assisting and training others. I am also able to work independently and use initiative, as demonstrated through working from home throughout the pandemic.
