I am a graduate student holding an MA in Theoretical and Applied Linguistics (Master Program “Korais”) with majoring in Computational Linguistics. I have 9 years of total experience in the linguistic analysis and processing of various text types. Specifically, I have 2 years of research experience in corpus management and creation, where I worked independently on the construction of glossaries based on word lists and keyword lists, on the origins and use of words, hapax legomena, and on the semantic and cognitive meaning of grammatical characteristics such as verbal tense and aspect. I have also gained solid knowledge in various linguistic fields (syntax, phonetics, morphology, semantics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics etc.). I am proficient at using SPSS and NLP software (Voyant Tools, AntConc etc.). In terms of my work experience, I have been working as an editor and proofreader of academic texts (5 years) and as a translator of academic articles from English to Greek (2 years), where I prepared comprehensive glossaries and terminology databases to facilitate analysis, while maintaining the originality of the text, the cultural etiquettes, and specific use of slang words.
