I'm currently the Writer/Director of "ENGGA HOSTEL", an upcoming Tamil Series for TVF (The Viral Fever) in Amazon Prime Video. I mainly worked on Writing & Directing the show, but since it was TVF's first foray into Tamil, they took me into confidence in regards to Production as well. I was asked to come up with a Quick Timeline due to various constraints. I assured them of completing the Shoot & Post-Production in 100 Days with a 30 Day Shoot Schedule. The Output of all 5 Episodes were delivered in 94 Days. My team and I achieved these goals with detailed Production Plans, Anticipating Problems and having Back-up plans. For example, we had anticipated that there would be problems in getting permissions from Colleges for shoot. As anticipated, the college we were shooting at was not available in our planned days & the other college completely denied permission for shooting. Switching to our Back-up plans, I personally got in touch with a few colleges, got permission in a few days & completed the shoot in 20 days, well ahead of the planned 30 days schedule, which resulted in massive saving of Production Cost. During Writing the Script & Shooting, I did a thorough scrutiny of potential problems to avoid any unnecessary reworks during Amazon's Feedbacks. This helped us in delivering our Series without any cuts or major objections from Amazon's Feedbacks. My other Writing & Direction work is a Tamil/Telugu Feature Film "Darling 2" which I also Produced & Distributed through Production Company "STUDIO GREEN". I have also Written & Directed an upcoming Original Tamil Film "Kaadhalum Naanum" for which I also handled the Line Production. My Short Films have received critical acclaim, racking up over 26 International & National Awards. My milestone achievement was being awarded the Best Director & Best Film in 2012 BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) Film Festival. In my 12 Years with content creation, I have also freelanced as a Script Consultant, Written & Directed Advertisements & Corporate assignments. I am also a Freelance Writer & Tamil Translator for Walt Disney's Films. Due to the nature of these projects, I would often find myself as a completely hands on Director, and therefore I was really able to develop my communication, team building and relationship management skills. Having spent the past twelve years in predominantly content creating roles, I believe the skills I've developed, combined with my proven background, would make me a strong asset to your team.
