Zheyu L. - 15180 Junior Financial Analyst from Vancouver

Having passed through a multi-round co-op program at UBC, I was amongst the 10% of Sauder’s international students permitted to pursue internships in Canada. This opened the door for me to explore NA’s financial market. In Vancouver, I pursued opportunities at GF Securities, an asset management company, and WestPark Capital, a boutique investment bank, which allowed me to acquire the finance skills needed in both the sell and buy-sides. Working on live vendor due diligence at WestPark Capital and Frost & Sullivan, I also developed my client-facing skills and knowledge of M&A decision criteria. After completing my core quantitative courses in 2019, I then interned at Inteluck China SPC, a hedge fund in Hong Kong that manages over 200 million RMB, and contributed to the company’s portfolio performance by incorporating ESG principles as important indicators into my financial analysis of JD Health International Inc and other major pharmaceutical companies.
