I’m David Rojas Márquez, geneticist and Ph.D. in immunology and cell biology. Given I always have been interested in visually communicate knowledge, I have combined that with my love for drawing, holding a Ms. degree in scientific illustration. My most significant contribution in the field of scientific illustration have been accomplished winning the 1st place of the international “Illustraciencia contest”, 9th Edition 2022 (jury award of “scientific illustration” category, and audience award of “best illustration”). Also, I had participated with my visual skills in several research studies, design of medical graphical abstracts and scientific publications. I have developed a profile as scientist as well as science communicator. My professional experience allows me to communicate complex contents in a clear way and build accurate illustrated concepts to bring closer science to audience.
