Dear Hiring Manager, As a student of Sheridan College's Creative Industries Management Program, I was excited to learn of Geolance’s open Serial Story Writer position. Currently, I’m looking for a job or an internship opportunity to use my new knowledge and skills in a work environment. Throughout my previous work experience in film production, I've honed my skills in various production duties such as crew management, scheduling and arranging logistics which aided me in building a firm foundation of industry knowledge. My communication skills have defused countless tense situations, and I work efficiently and effectively in high-pressure situations. I am self-motivated to complete tasks on time with minimal direction and have a strong aptitude and understanding of equipment assembly, camera operation, data management, and script-writing to name a few. I'm an energetic, reliable and enthusiastic team player who can also skillfully work independently when required. I also possess apt leadership skills if the situation demands them. You may notice a gap in my employment and freelancing venture while reviewing my resume. During this period, I elected to take a leave from the workforce and freelancing in order to go back to school in Canada and have a unique learning experience that would be invaluable to my personal and professional growth. I am eager to re-enter the professional sphere and apply my newfound qualifications and knowledge to the job. Thank you for your time.
