I am a passionate, detail-oriented, independent individual who has a constant desire to grow within the film and entertainment industry. As a creative film critic and writer, I have exceptional grammar skills, and a vast knowledge of movies and television. I also have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Film Studies from Carleton University and a Certificate in Screenwriting from Udemy, from author Dani Alcorn. My experience in the media and entertainment industry has varied over the years. The highlights of my experience include the following: 1) Writing film reviews for a blog: Film613, and for films that were featured at the 2020 Ottawa Canadian Film Festival to entice the public’s interest and increase the media presence online. 2) Researching the latest movie releases and trends in the entertainment industry, embedding links in social media content to promote the Ottawa Canadian Film Festival, composing a personal portfolio with local articles, analyzing films and television shows, and connecting with the media during broadcasted interviews. 3) Developing long-lasting connections with peers, filmmakers, media organizations such as Touchwood PR, and the community, to facilitate future partnerships, inspire story ideas, and build a network of like-minded individuals.
