I am delighted to apply for the position of Valuation Analyst at Geolance. As someone who is highly analytical, I enjoy crunching data in order to extract vital information in a given set of material. I hold two degrees both - bachelor’s and master’s in business administration certified by International Credential Evaluation Service (ICES) - BCIT with the same Canadian equivalency. I am also an International Monetary Fund (IMF) certified financial analyst. Having conducted financial analysis in multiple sectors for my clients, I intend to bring the same level of passion for financial markets to help Soctiabank in reporting and doing analysis on security valuation as a new Equity Research Analyst. My financial modelling skills are further demonstrated from my previous role as an Independent Equity Research Analyst back in India, where I essentially did DCF Valuation models; the goal was to perform bottom-up fundamental analysis over 15 stocks in disparate industries. By successfully validating daily security pricing and evaluating risk parameters, this strategy delivered ~16% CAGR for the last five years. I am a result-driven professional committed to deriving compelling financial insights and detailed analysis for making key investment decisions. Furthermore, I’ve learnt to combine technical analysis with fundamental analysis to discover the right marriage of the two in a given market scenario by looking at a broader market picture, narrowing down to stock specific fair valuation. One of my biggest strengths in equity research is that I can understand bad behavior of a company’s management through my intuition. A strong mental muscle which does not have any quantifiable metric but can only be honed through understanding psychology and through experience. Apart from possessing financial acumen, I am an excellent communicator, a skill that allowed me to build long lasting relationships with high networth clients who sought my advice for handling their six figure portfolios.
