About

Upon completion of my undergraduate degree, I worked as a Consultant for Synechron, ideating and iterating a strategic action plan for the organization. Within this role, I built experience conducting market research and utilizing interdepartmental collaboration to create a strategic action plan to identify and take advantage of the opportunity within the marketplace. In the face of ambiguity, I found an opportunity to resolve issues in the organization’s scope by synthesizing career profiles and user journeys through conducting a company-wide survey and interviews encompassing over 100 employees. With a problem identified, I worked to understand opportunities to grow exposure and simplify the user journey to draw insights and establish an action plan. Through this action plan, I brought forth four recommendations to the Synechron Executive team that were implemented by management. These recommendations increased the number of applications the organization received by 120% over six months. Searching for opportunities to make benevolent change within the world, I was fixated with the rising costs of labour and building materials during the pandemic that resulted in building costs skyrocketing. I was presented with an opportunity to develop a contracting company that would fill a demand for contract work for those priced out of the current market. I decided to utilize my construction background to provide those who can no longer afford these extreme price increases with the opportunity to have their deck or fence repaired or rebuilt at a realistic cost. I combined impact with profits by helping six families build the backyard they deserved during a pandemic summer. During the second year of operations, growth took off as the substantial goodwill I fostered turned into free marketing and a 250% increase in customers. Through strong supplier connections, efficient scheduling, and detailed project budgeting, I was able to maintain industry-level profit margins while charging rates up to 35% lower than industry competition. Looking to develop my leadership skills further, I obtained the role of Head of Media productions for ICCIT. In this role, I led a team of six creatives and worked to harbour an inclusive environment teeming with creativity. To inspire my team, I produced an alternative approach to standardized posts and designs. Each week I encouraged two team members to decide their creative direction and doing so resulted in each project displaying the passion and creativity of that individual. Not only did this empower our group to foster exceptional work, but it also resulted in impactful design that increased ICCITs viewership by 175%. As an individual constantly seeking new challenges, I am eager for the opportunity to demonstrate how my capabilities in leadership, innovation, and insight-driven analysis will add value to the collective effort that drives impactful change at Geolance.
