Household Electrical Appliance Service Technician responsibilities include:
- Installing new appliances and testing them to ensure they are working properly
- Visiting customers' homes to provide estimates, diagnose problems and offer solutions
- Keeping up with trending technologies in the appliance industry
- Maintaining records of all repairs and installations
- Adhering to safety standards and company guidelines
- Determining the cause of household appliance malfunction and repairing or replacing defective parts
- Inspecting, testing and diagnosing faults in a wide range of household appliances including ovens, fridges, washing machines and dishwashers
- Repairing or servicing a variety of electrical appliances such as toasters, kettles, irons, vacuum cleaners etc.
- Providing excellent customer service by keeping up to date with product information and communicating effectively with customers
