Investment Counsellor - Personal Finances responsibilities include:
- Conducting investment counselling interviews with clients to assess their risk tolerance and investment goals;
- Researching and recommending appropriate investment strategies and products;
- Preparing reports and presentations for clients;
- Keeping abreast of developments in the securities industry; and
- Providing clients with investment counselling and recommendations
- Assessing client risk tolerance and investment goals
- Constructing portfolios and managing client assets
- Monitoring investments and making recommendations for changes
The ideal candidate will have experience with researching economic trends, government policies, global events etc. that may affect investments. Investment Counsellor - Personal Finances skills:
- Analytical thinking
- Excellent communication
- Attention to detail
- Multitasker
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in investment counselling or a related role
- Experience with portfolio management software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and investment-related software programs
- CFP designation is an asset but not required
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is an asset but not required
