Mine Electrician responsibilities include:
- Inspecting electrical equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair
- Testing electrical equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Troubleshooting electrical problems using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters and ammeters
- Diagnosing faulty operation of mine equipment using computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Repairing or replacing damaged or malfunctioning parts and systems using hand tools and power tools
- Following diagrams and blueprints to determine the location of circuits, outlets and other wiring installations
The ideal candidate will have experience with installing, maintaining and repairing electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems in mines. Systems Security Analyst skills:
- Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems
