Physics Department Electronics Technologist  responsibilities include:

  • Testing and troubleshooting prototypes
  • Building and maintaining lab equipment
  • Updating schematics and drawings
  • Providing technical support to physics faculty and students
  • Working with faculty and students in the Physics Department to develop and implement new electronics-based experiments and teaching apparatus
  • Maintaining and repairing a variety of electronic equipment used in the department, including high-voltage power supplies, data acquisition systems, and lasers
  • Designing and building custom electronics for specific research projects
