Powerline Technician responsibilities include:
- Answering any questions posed by the customer or project manager regarding the work being performed.
- Assembling and installing distribution and transmission lines.
- Troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Testing equipment to ensure safety and compatibility.
- Inspecting powerlines on a regular basis to identify potential risks or problems.
The ideal candidate will have experience with establishing and maintaining communication with the project manager or customer to ensure that proper expectations are set for work quality, timelines, etc. They will also be able to work independently and be detail-oriented. Powerline Technician skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an apprenticeship program
- Proven experience as a powerline technician
- Valid certification from a vocational school or the Armed Forces
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings
- Excellent physical condition and strength
- Good problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently
