Steam Main Servicer responsibilities include:
- Selecting, measuring and cutting pipes according to specifications
- Assembling and installing valves, fittings and pipes
- Installing supports for pipes, fittings and equipment
- Threading pipes and piping segments
- Joining pipe sections, equipment and fixtures using screws, bolts, cement or solder
- Testing plumbing systems for leaks
- Repairing or replacing defective parts
- Calculating the required amount of material needed
- Maintaining a clean work environment
